📪Start making a song

Here, we'll walk you through generating your very first clip, and eventually, very first song!

At the top of the Udio homepage is a black bar which usually has some random text in it, relating to a random prompt to begin a song:

The box next to the little white dice at the top! Click inside on the grey text to bring up the song create tab!

You click within this black bar and a tab will pop up and appear with some creation options. The options on this are limited but quick:

If you want to access the full suite of toys, you're going to need to click the "Advanced Creation Tools" button here, and we would advise you do!

You have a few options here to set up the prompt, clip timing and whether the clip is with auto-generated lyrics or an instrumental clip. These options are quite limited, so the recommendation is to click the Advanced Creation Tools button and we'll explain the tools from that perspective!

Clicking the Advanced Creation Tools will bring you to a page that looks like this:
