📈 Udio Trending Algorithm
🔹 Where Songs Can Appear
On desktop, you’ll see: Upper Trending, Top Tracks (This Week), and Lower Trending (More Tracks for You). On mobile, only Lower Trending shows up.
🔸 Lower Trending Basics
Aim for this to get noticed by casual listeners. Freshness Rule: Only tracks under 5 days old can show here. One-Track Limit: Udio usually picks one song per creator for Lower Trending. If you drop multiple tracks in the same 5-day window, only one (or none) gets featured. Check Exact Age: Go to your track’s details, hover over the creation date (top-right), and read the timestamp in your local time. Udio uses that for “age”, not the publish time. (Udio rounds 4.5 to 5.5 days for display to “5d”.)
➡️ Release Strategy
Space Releases by 5 Days: Publish new songs every 5 days . If an older track isn’t popping:
Unpublish the underperformer.
Publish your new track to let it trend.
After the older track is 5 days, you can republish it without messing up your new song’s momentum.
🔹 Upper Trending Overview
Uses a different set of signals (likes, plays, engagement), and the track needs to be under 5 days old to surface here, too.
🧭 Quick Tips
Monitor Age Closely to avoid overlapping your own releases. Focus on Engagement (likes, shares) to boost chances in Upper Trending.
🎯 Follow these practices and you’ll maximize your odds of landing in Lower or Upper Trending, so more random users can discover your music!
