๐ Udio Trending Algorithm
๐น Where Songs Can Appear
On desktop, youโll see: Upper Trending, Top Tracks (This Week), and Lower Trending (More Tracks for You). On mobile, only Lower Trending shows up.
๐ธ Lower Trending Basics
Aim for this to get noticed by casual listeners. Freshness Rule: Only tracks under 5 days old can show here. One-Track Limit: Udio usually picks one song per creator for Lower Trending. If you drop multiple tracks in the same 5-day window, only one (or none) gets featured. Check Exact Age: Go to your trackโs details, hover over the creation date (top-right), and read the timestamp in your local time. Udio uses that for โageโ, not the publish time. (Udio rounds 4.5 to 5.5 days for display to โ5dโ.)
โก๏ธ Release Strategy
Space Releases by 5 Days: Publish new songs every 5 days . If an older track isnโt popping:
Unpublish the underperformer.
Publish your new track to let it trend.
After the older track is 5 days, you can republish it without messing up your new songโs momentum.
๐น Upper Trending Overview
Uses a different set of signals (likes, plays, engagement), and the track needs to be under 5 days old to surface here, too.
๐งญ Quick Tips
Monitor Age Closely to avoid overlapping your own releases. Focus on Engagement (likes, shares) to boost chances in Upper Trending.
๐ฏ Follow these practices and youโll maximize your odds of landing in Lower or Upper Trending, so more random users can discover your music!
